Developing a proposal for the Business Development as Resource Access at Hopeprint. By doing that we are gathering data from local business owners about what they offer and what they would like to offer, along with what the residents in the microneighborhood is requesting in terms of need.

Assisting in engaging with newly developed small businesses in the Northside by translating for Spanish-speaking businesses. Also engaging in creating social media posts highlighting these businesses to greater audience. (Under PST410 course)

While living on campus in a RA-like position, high school students from 9-12th grade come to campus during the summer to prepare for college and high school. Tutor counselors provide assistance to their needs and help Staff during their courses, while also being able to give advice as a college student.

Researching an extended parameter of the microneighborhood with available products and services etc. Approaching with an asset based community goal. Research will incorporate into business development plan for Hopeprint.

Contacting the community on behalf of the administration at La Casita to be able to give the opportunity to engage with the center.

Throughout the summer, I have participated in helping translate to the students in English and Spanish. Also guide them to reach their potential in the arts, music, health and more.

This internship gave me the opportunity to work with the Housing Developing Team at Hopeprint. I had done research on the homes in the microneighborhood in the Northside of Syracuse and also allowed me to work with the community engagement team to knock on doors and provide housing and health information to the neighbors.
