About Roxana Postolache

As a Scientist at Cortalix, I am involved in the bioconjugation of different functional groups to single domain nanobodies used for molecular diagnostics and imaging purposes. In my previous role, as a PhD Researcher in Organic Chemistry at the University of Groningen, I have been involved in cutting-edge research projects that aim to create novel structures and mechanisms for chiral phosphine ligands, which are widely used in industry. I have designed and optimized reactions targeting various architectures and substrates, and elucidated the role of reaction components in known processes. I have also developed new catalysts for hydrogenation and hydrophosphination reactions, using metal-ligand cooperation as a key strategy.My work has resulted in multiple publications in prestigious journals such as Journal of the American Chemical Society, demonstrating my skills and expertise in homogeneous catalysis, synthesis, and mechanistic studies. I have also supervised master students, taught organic and general chemistry courses, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to advance research in these fields. I am passionate about solving challenging problems in organic synthesis and chemistry, and contributing to the scientific knowledge and innovation in these areas.
