I currently serve the nursing profession in the interim leadership role. My strengths lie in my ability to evaluate organizational culture, connect with a team, implement change, and support organizational goals. I embrace learning. New experiences are welcomed. I am reliable and accountable. I have advanced education in education. I excel in onboarding and training new staff. I am passionate about teaching and creating education that inspires engagement. Organizational needs vary, and I work very hard to meet those goals in the short time associated with the interim role, often serving in multiple positions. I know that I am valued as an interim leader as I have been offered permanent placement in every interim assignment in which I've served. During my career I have been asked to serve as charge nurse, leader, staff nurse, educator, clinical analyst, subject matter expert and clinical specialist. I have worked both nights and days and I have always served in any capacity requested of me. I have great experience in the informatics/clinical analyst realm under the leadership of an amazing mentor. I entered that role with no previous knowledge and learned as much as possible to become an expert and resource in that role, not only to one specific department, but also to the hospital at large. Learning to use/build/optimize the electronic health application was both challenging and fulfilling. I spent many hours at the elbow of the end user, educating and supporting many different applications. I served at a staff developer during one organization's Magnet journey. With no blueprint to follow I had to envision and create a role that served my department's educational needs. It was an opportunity to be creative and innovative, and I loved every minute of it.
