As the Director of Business Development at Asign, I lead a team of interpreters and translators who provide quality sign language communication and access services to businesses and government agencies across Canada. As a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA) and a ASL-ENG interpreter, I have over 25 years of experience in the field of sign language interpreting and translation.My mission is to eliminate communication barriers and create a diverse and inclusive environment that opens doors for the Deaf community. I'm proud of the achievements and recognition that Asign has received, such as being the Canadian American Sign Language (ASL) Video Interpreter Provider for Canada Video Relay Service (VRS), winning the 2020 Best Ottawa Business Award and being selected as one of the Top 20 Finalists of the 2023 Telus #StandWithOwners Award. On a personal level, I received the 2022 Businesswoman of the Year Award (BYAs) and am now giving back to the community by volunteering on the Women’s Business Network of Ottawa board. I'm passionate about leveraging the power of technology to enhance our interpreting and translation services and reach more clients and users.
