I joined SourceAmerica in March, 2000 where I currently serve as an Account Manager for the VA, FAA, and DOT service projects under AbilityOne Program. Before joining this civilian accounts team I spent most of my career here at SourceAmerica working Business Development for the Army in 10 southeastern states and PR. Before SourceAmerica I spent five years working for a producing AbilityOne Program NPA where I was a Production Supervisor and Payroll Manager. I came to SourceAmerica with a business background after working for Georgia Pacific in the paper industry for 10 years. I also owned two sport shops for nine years, a weight control clinic for 8 years and a ladies fitness gym for two years. After joining SourceAmerica I went on and received an Associate’s Certificate in Contract Management and a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting. SourceAmerica was appointed by the federal government to facilitate the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act now known as The AbilityOne program. We help to procure federal contracts for a network of over 400 nonprofit companies with a mission of providing job training and employment for people with disabilities. Our number one customer is the Department of Defense and they asked the program to focus on hiring returning Wounded Warriors wherever appropriate. The program has annual sales above $2 billion and employs approximately 43,000 individuals with disabilities.
