I was responsible for managing my own company vehicle ensuring it remained road worthy and report any defects to my manager. I collected and delivered customers consignments that geographically covered the whole of the UK. I had to sustain a high level of professionalism once dealing face to face with all customers. I had to maintain a driver safety record and keep within the road traffic laws. Maintaining a high level of customer service was paramount to the overall success of the company. After a successful 12months on the road as a courier I was promoted to a Operations Supervisor were my duties included data collection, answering calls and entering customers details onto the system and booking jobs for delivery and collection. I was responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective management of planning activities for a fleet in excess of 100 vehicles and their loads.
