Southern Afghanistan

Deployed overseas for Operation Enduring Freedom with Regional Police Advisory Command—South, Afghanistan• Executed command and control of over 260 Soldiers, Airmen, and Sailors assigned across the area of operations in the Command Section, five Provincial teams, and nineteen District Police Mentorship Teams across southern Afghanistan. • Served as the commander’s principal advisor and for directing, coordinating and synchronizing, supervising, and training the staff of 20 personnel in support of combat operations. • Planned, coordinated, and supervised the execution of training programs coordinating with coalition forces and other departments and agencies of the US Government.• Communicated details of staff operations and pertinent data, information, and insight between the staff and the commander in order to conduct mentoring, training, equipping, and advising for the Afghan National Police force of over 10,000.• Managed operations supporting the successful training of nearly 1,500 Afghan National Police, achieving a 55% increase in graduation and resulting in a decrease in death rates of Afghan civilians by more than 50% in our area of operations.
