Implementation of an effective operations strategy designed to counteract changes in revenue or expenses to maximize company profits. • Managing routes, dispatch, warehouse and cross docking operations. Supervise driver and dock personnel with consistent and reliable oversight.• Making sales calls to develop and increase potential customers while strengthening existing customer relationships. • Ensuring proper upkeep of all company equipment as scheduled. Coordinating repairs and replacement of equipment as needed.• Identify and negotiate vendor agreements for Service Center. Responsible for all interior and exterior workings regarding building maintenance, upkeep, etc. • Develop and implement training procedures for service center staff.• Analyze structure, methods and performance of service center operations to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures• Lead a staff of 24 people

· Supervise, lead and direct the loading and unloading of freight; May supervise delivery of freight· Train, monitor and enforce dock loading, freight flow and bar coding procedures· Ensure safe, efficient and cost effective operation; Monitor and respond to load forecasts· Close loads on outbound trailers· Load and unload freight; Move products with a lift truck and by hand · Assist in shift planning and job assignment· May create driver route assignments and dispatch drivers· Ensure compliance with OSHA, Department of Transportation, and Federal and State regulations. · Minimize claims and damages through training and enforcement of OS&D standard operating procedures · Interface with customers by providing will-call freight, tracking or tracing freight and responding to customer inquiries· Complete reports and loading sheets, and inspection sheets · Lead a staff of 8 people
