Maintaining a robust Risk Controls framework in the post-sanctioning fulfilment activities for a portfolio of accounts within the Commercial Banking portfolio.Working closely with Corporate Relationship Managers , including undertaking customer visits, in ensuring adherence to agreed actions and making recommendations on monitoring enhancement, waivers or downgrades of accounts to improve overall portfolio monitoring and risk assessment.

•Undertaking sector and industry analysis to guide strategy formulation and areas of focus for lending.•Preparing credit papers for discussion at deal forums facilitating credit sanctions for corporates.•Pro-actively embed Target Market Criteria/Risk Acceptance Criteria/Policies/ Risk Appetite to deal with changing economic conditions for diverse sectors.•Portfolio quality Monitoring and Control. •Supporting relationship managers in structuring of credit facilities and ensure appropriate products are offered to manage the level of risk.

Working under the guidance of the MD, in overall country strategy implementation in line with the Barclays One Africa strategy. Accountable for the control and compliance activities of the MD’s office in line internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards. Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues (in-country and regional) and external partners (Governments, Customers, and Suppliers)
