I guide and lead the aircraft rescue firefighter program, orchestrating successful, safe rescues. I advise on critical tactics and strategies used during high-pressure missions. A large part of my role entails developing and managing training programs to empower first responders with essential knowledge and skills. I also foster strong collaboration across teams and city departments, building a unified network.Things I am most proud of:➥ Developing a comprehensive Special Operations Entry Exam for the department.➥ Implementing best practices that have elevated team skills and replaced outdated techniques.➥ Piloting a successful beta version of the new exam with other teams, gaining support.➥ Rewriting all policies and SOPs, coordinating across units to update emergency plan tactics and training.➥ Facilitating training for more than 300 first responders.➥ Contributing to the safety of all Presidential and Vice-Presidential landings within DC.

I thrive under pressure as a first responder for one of the busiest fire departments in the US. I am both a firefighter and EMT, responding to a wide variety of emergencies and navigating life-threatening situations to protect lives and property. I specialize in high-stakes rescues, utilizing advanced training and equipment to access building roofs. I also deliver expert medical care in the field, triaging and stabilizing patients for transport to a local hospital.

I was handpicked for a specialized firefighting unit tackling complex, high-risk situations beyond standard crew capabilities. Leading operations in the field, I strategized solutions and provided decisive guidance while ensuring team safety. Our skills included search and rescue, high angle, swift water, confined space, tunnel, and collapse.

I led the efficient operation of a $1B airfield complex, encompassing housing, a vast training range, and NAV air testing facilities. I had full oversight of the Lakehurst aircraft carrier testing system, emergency medical services, disaster preparedness, and department administration. Fostering cross-division and local agency relationships, I coordinated rescue crews for air and ground emergencies and managed deployable fire equipment and fire safety protocols.
