Assisted indigent clients by representing them in criminal court as a public defender. Learned to manage and simultaneously work on a caseload of 40+ cases on average. Became familiar with routine arraignment and client interview procedures. Gained experience writing and arguing motions in front of judges as well as representing clients at court dates, hearings, and trials. Became adept at maintaining contact with a large volume of clients while meeting their individual needs such as providing court paperwork, expunging criminal records, assisting at refusal hearings, and other duties.

Researched U.S. court databases in order to obtain information for use by clients in making financial decisions.Analyzed court findings in order to provide comprehensive background reports on the subjects and companies being searched by clients. Compiled and edited databases for court systems in different states to help streamline searches. Maintained customer service standards through daily interactions with various clients.

Contributed to the development of the financial literacy tool “Budgetball” designed to educate first-time-in-college students on fiscal responsibility and debt. Scouted for and coordinated meetings with potential sponsors and gained the interest of several organizations. Helped to plan and organize three separate Budgetball events, to generate interest in the tool and show how it could be implemented.
