After Initial Schooling at Sainik School and Professional Training at the prestigious National Defence Academy, I was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1977 in the Executive Branch. During my service I held extremely challenging, operational and front line appointments. some of these being:- Acquisition and Commissioning Crew of Aircraft Carrier at United Kingdom. Member Warship acceptance and trials team. Instructor at the prestigious defence services staff college at wellington. Fleet Gunnery Officer Eastern Fleet. Member Warship Workup Organisation. Naval Assistant to Flag Officer Commanding in Chief at Eastern Naval Command.
