Demonstrated how to manage multiple projects while working in a complex Avaya Services environment of multiple quoting tools, direct and indirect channels, SAP, Lotus Notes, business rules, Service offers, over 10,000 actively managed SAP codes in my portfolio, organizations, processes and political boundaries all constantly changing to improve an already complex business. Driving for results require a passion for creative problem solving, a constant drive to please the customer and making a real contribution to the business. I proposed and delivered creative, new ideas that worked for the Services business.

For 5 years, I have gained lots of security experience in Avaya Service’s and Avaya products. I wrote all the customer security requirements for the Secure Services Gateway (SSG) product used today. I have personally talked to over 200 financial, healthcare, government and transport enterprise customers about their remote and local access security requirements. This includes working closely with customers to develop security requirements, closely with development to make sure the product design meets customer needs and closely with test engineers to make sure the product performs to customer expectations. As System Security Engineer in Services R&D, I wrote customer security requirements, worked with development, tested and helped deploy the Secure Access and Control Service Offer. See http://support.avaya.com/sac/. I led the deployment of the ISO 17799 and the ISF (Information Security Framework) throughout Avaya Services. I have also worked many IP security issues with customers.

For 2 years as a member of Avaya Services R&D, I evaluated various data products for security and serviceability. This required working with developers, offer managers, field technicians and customers to ensure their concerns were met in the product design. When improvements were needed, I had to work with development and field technicians to develop a plan that would meet requirements over several releases. I also proposed a new way of reducing product and serviceability costs using the IMUS Gateway Appliance using embedded technology by WindRiver Systems.

Led two small teams of test engineers for a large network management system Planned and executed complex network management end-to-end system testing, developed requirements traceability to test cases process, wrote detailed test plans with requirements traceability, plans included interoperability, network performance, system performance, user interface, end-to-end performance, system load testing, security requirements conformity, functional testing and Modification Requests (MR) testing. Resulted in higher quality product and higher customer satisfaction. Determined and developed UNIX tools to look inside system at UNIX/Linux process performance, scanned for core dumps, scan logs for error messages during system tests. Resulted in must better test fault detection and planning. Validated load delivered to system test, wrote MRs to evaluate possible defect, led MR Review Board (MRRB) with development, field support, customer advocate to rank order MRs for next release. Publish reports on tests passed, failed, MRs written. Experimented with code coverage metrics. Performed system security scans (open ports), determine if latest vendor security patches applied to OS and to other system components.
