As the Senior Visual Designer, I managed several wide-scale integrated marketing campaigns, photoshoots, and special projects. It was exciting to be part of a team that managed United Airlines’ brand on many different platforms while ensuring a cohesive customer experience. I learned a great deal about a complex business through special projects, like working to launch a secret restaurant for high value customers at Newark Airport. Other high-visibility customer facing assignments I worked on were United CleanPlus, Marriott Booking Bonus, the Olympics, and a complete redesign of the MileagePlus program. The brand was clear and consistent to the customer while the complexity of creating that image was managed seamlessly.

Greater Chicago Area

I was the Art Director for Green Building & Design magazine which is an architecture and design publication focused on sustainable building practices. My main contribution was evolving the magazine’s presence by ushering the print version into the digital world. It was thrilling to see the magazine come to life in a new format, plus working to build a company website that applied UI/UX design theories and was strengthened by newsletters and social media. The launch of our digital version was reminiscent of my favorite days when we would receive boxes of the printed issue in the mail. In addition to managing the design of each issue, I supported marketing and sales initiatives. Oneproject I designed and developed was the Women in Sustainability Leadership Award (WSLA). I createdthe award's identity as well as produced and executed the awards ceremony.

At Cybercoders I was focused on SEO for users on Google and other search engines. It was a job that made me very comfortable at physically executing actions on the computer. Felt empowered as I was sorting, assigning, and tagging site information on the backend, so that it appeared in an organized manner for users.

In my first design position, I was the Multimedia Designer for a group of five schools and universities in a school system. I worked closely with each organization to design marketing materials that optimized their brand presence in print and digital mediums. I enjoyed the production aspect of planning and budgeting multiple photoshoots that contributed to the distinctiveness of each school/university. I constructed the TCS annual report, launched a new company website, and redesigned the identity of a key school. This work helped me to understand how to create a consistent brand over multiple business units.

At Kellogg’s I was able to make a big impact by managing the Salesforce platform which tracked $2B in KPIs. I handled the planning, design, tracking, reporting, and salesperson training. In addition, I was responsible for the creative, planning, and executing an annual Kellogg/P&G customer event. This was a high energy event that sparked my interest in the creative side of marketing.

As a Sales Planning intern, I provide data analysis based on sales CRM data to develop business growth and regulate trade expenditure. In the role, I built a first-of-kind database to analyze trade spend for 4,300 K-12 school accounts. In addition, I was able to identify incentive and motivational tools for the sales team to implement for key accounts.
