I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with multiple programs, technologies and tools in the past. Having taught myself the programming languages necessary to build web applications in ASP, ASP.NET, Javascript, Visual Basic, VBScript and C#, I have proven myself to be a quick learner and very adaptable to changes in the industry. My past educational and professional experiences in psychology and social work have given me the interpersonal skills and experience that allows me to work with people in a way that does not alienate them from the technology upon which they have become so dependent.In my current position at B. Riley Wealth Management, the challenge of development projects that allow me to smoothly connect people to the information they need makes every day an adventure. Although I have been very comfortable working independently, I am now energized by the experience of working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment as our firm has merged into the B. Riley Financial family and I am now part of an expanded development group.I am especially enjoying the continued development of our internal SharePoint site to include various tools to assist our executives, managers, brokers, and administrative staff. This includes the incorporation of Business Intelligence software and SQL Server Integration and Analysis Services.I successfully supervised and directly worked on the development of our data warehouse, which allows for quick and easy access to reporting tools which are currently being used by all areas of our business. My favorite feedback from those in other departments who often find technology a challenge is "You made that so easy for me." Luckily, I get to hear that often.
