In 1999 I was asked to do my first Business Dining Etiquette presentation. After the event a high ranking administrator approached me and said, "Robert, I attended one of these dinners as an undergraduate and left more intimidated by the topic than when I arrived. With you it was different. You made this enjoyable and fun. I now want to learn more and add this to my career success skill inventory." From that moment on, I knew I had found my calling. I have been an etiquette educator and presenter since then. My presentations focus on business dining, workplace, networking, and communications etiquette. In addition I have authored three books. "Shine While You Dine" is a concise and comprehensive guide to business dining etiquette. "The Fundamentals of Business Etiquette" is a series of eight recorded lectures offered through the Modern Scholars series. "On Your Best Behavior: The Fundamentals of Etiquette" is another Modern Scholars offering, consisting of eight lectures focused upon everyday etiquetteI am also an adjunct professor of public speaking, at the Binghamton University Graduate School of Management and at SUNY Broome.My goal is simple: to remind the world that Manners Matter and Courtesy Counts, because they let "you shine through".
