Editorial Strategist
CurrentI currently lead design strategy and user research for the Justice Navigator, a platform to help law enforcement and communities identify racial disparities in their policing. I conduct user research to iterate on the platform while working directly with law enforcement and community stakeholders to leverage our findings to enact organizational and policy changes designed to improve equity in their public safety systems. I collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and data visualization specialists to improve the Justice Navigator’s product roadmap and accessibility as well as with external partners to advance mission-aligned advocacy and coalition-building efforts in the communities we serve. Beyond the Justice Navigator, I work with our partnerships and policy teams to develop campaign strategies vis-a-vis our legislative advocacy work and copy edit scholastic collateral like our Redesigning Public Safety white papers on traffic safety, school safety, substance use, and mental health emergency response.
Research Analyst
In this role, I wrote and executed interview surveys (N = 300-1500) of eligible voters for national and international leaders running for office, including six US senators and 13 heads of state. I supposed our research efforts by holding stakeholder and voter interviews and strategic analysis. I shared these with the firm’s senior leadership and with client teams to hone their campaign strategies and political messaging.
Digital Communications & Organizing Fellow
I architected Rev. Warnock’s historical campaign’s digital recruitment strategy. I interviewed dozens of senior grassroots organizers to develop the strategy while implementing my own, novel ideas, like recruiting out of state volunteers through other campaigns. I recruited and trained thousands of volunteers, authored press releases about our work, and remastered phone banking scripts to improve participation and curtail volunteer turnover.
Policy & Data Analyst
I conducted interviews with LGBTQ+ persons impacted by armed and police violence and worked with data visualization specialists and policy analysts to map over 5,000 media reports on LGBTQ+ hate crimes for a ground-breaking investigation on state-sanctioned violence against LGBTQ+ people in Colombia. I leveraged this research in presentations with government and NGO officials to advocate the adoption of key policy recommendations and secure funding (upwards of $20,000 USD) for future research. Funded by the Fulbright Commission & US Department of State.
English Teaching Assistant
I wrote and taught an English curriculum for 200 beginner and intermediate English language students at the National University of Colombia, the country’s largest public institution of higher education.
