At Northwestern, Ryan teaches classes on learning and development, organizational learning, design thinking, cognitive design, and people analytics. He also leads the Organizational Effectiveness Certificate.He is the author of “Speaking Up at Work: Leading Change as an Independent Thinker,” and “Organizational Learning and Performance: The Science and Practice of Building a Learning Culture." Both books integrate compelling stories with scientific research about how to make a positive difference in organizations.He resides in Evanston, IL and has three kids (two boys and a daughter) that have him continuously re-learning the experience of growing up.
