So, its time to pack our mountain bikes and panniers into travel boxes ready to rediscover the UK and Europe !We are aiming to return to Sydney for the xmas celebrations and full of energy ready to start the next stage of our careers.

MyRepublic is a great place to work but it is time for my wife and I to enjoy what Europe has to offer now covid restrictions have eased.The finance team achieved some important goals during my time including significantly reducing reporting times, improving collections, formulating business improvement proposals, documenting accounting policies, creating new collaborative ways of working as well as co-ordinating the office move from Mascot to North Sydney. Sigfox is the leading global IoT network using its 0G technology in 75 countries covering over 1 billion people and Soracom provides machine 2 machine(M2M) sim solutions across 120 countries.During my time at Thinxtra I was the point-man for a $15m capital raise, halved the group's monthly cash burn rate while guiding the group through its first 3 years of being an audited unlisted public company. My team and I also continuously improved systems and processes to manage a 10 x increase in revenues and live billable connections while not having to increase our headcount.During my last year at Thinxtra I was the pointmen preparing the business for IPO which unfortunately, due to various reasons, was put on hold.

CML Group Limited (ASX Code: CGR) was established in 2002 and listed on the ASX in 2010. CGR has evolved from being a franchise network of recruitment agencies to now being a leading provider of a wide variety of financial and payroll related services to SMEs throughout Australia.During my time at CGR, Daniel Riley (Group MD) and I were key drivers of positive change on a structural, cultural, procedural and financial level.CGR had , over the three years I was employed within the business ;• increased annualised revenues from $70m pa to $170m+ pa;• simplified its service offerings and communication thereof;• refocused a large part of the work force towards the newly created financial services division that now turns over in excess of $80m pa;• improved the clarity of its communication with the investment community leading to a successful $5m capital raising in February 2014 and more recently an issue of $10m in convertible notes and a $25m corporate bond; • acquired and integrated a competing business ; and • continually refined many of its processes and procedures leading to a minimal increase in the group's head count during this period.The actions above translated into a significant increase to the Group's market capitalisation and created the funding capacity for the Group's future growth aspirations.
