* Built four clusters consisting of 30 Linux computers. The computers were connected using Ethernet, and communicated their calculations using Secure Shell (SSH) connections* Created a RedHat “kickstart” configuration, allowing new workstations (out of the box) to be configured for cluster attachment automatically and in less than 30 minutes.* Implemented a 1TB Storage Area Network (SAN) RAID, which was considered experimental by StorageTek. Documented findings. Developed knowledge of Linux kernel, drivers, boot-levels, and RAID configurations.* Prepared bid specifications for $20,000+ cluster hardware purchases.
