Graduated from North Carolina State University in December 2018 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences - Integrative Physiology & Neurobiology concentration, along with a minor in Microbiology. After completing my B.S., I joined the Bowles/Milano research lab at Duke University Hospital, where I am currently employed as a Research Technician III. Our specific interests focus on end-stage heart failure; using translational science applications in hopes of discovery, leading to improved therapies, more effective preventative measures, & efficient organ procurement methodologies currently utilized in the cardiac field. In addition, I have been serving as manager of the Duke Human Heart Repository (DHHR) since August 2020. The DHHR is a large collection of human specimens acquired from cardiac surgery at Duke, with the intention of using said specimens in both internal lab projects & collaborations with fellow researchers around the world. My efforts involve data management, shipping logistics, clinical screening & imaging, publication, and inventory maintenance; as well as proper dissection & storage of human materials
