• Implemented a feasibility study on the use of different working fluids for use in model steam turbines within a research and development facility• Formulated and utilised a project management plan and risk assessment to effectively structure the work• Compared alternatives to replace R-134a amidst environmental concerns surrounding the use of the gas• Presented the findings to my team and line manager, which included a gas which looked to be suitable as a replacement if certain criteria were met after successful testing• Following this I procured a free sample of the gas and managed the testing of the gas through a sub-contractor.• Completed my project ahead of schedule, and so was asked to design experiments to provide an introduction to engineering for students on work experience from the local school.
