As Circle Lead of VISI I am responsible for the strategy of the VISI product of Bakker&SpeesMy responsibilities:- Translating the work of the circle into defined roles.- Assign partners to the roles of the circle. In addition, the Circle Lead monitors the match between the individuals and their roles, provides feedback to improve the match, and reassigns roles if it makes sense to improve the match.- Allocate resources of the circle to its various projects and/or roles.- Establishing priorities and strategies for the circle.- Determining metrics for the circle.

As a consultant of Bakker&Spees I help governments and businesses understand Building Information Management (BIM) and advise them on how to implement open BIM standards. My main goal is to provide these organisations with the tools to be in control of their construction projects and to enhance process management and cooperation. During this approach I also focus on change management to help achieve a successful implementation.I am specialized in the implementation of the open BIM standard VISI (ISO 29481-2:2012). VISI translates project processes and roles into digital workflows and is intended to increase the transparency and traceability of the building process. It also highly contributes to the optimization of quality, efficiency, duration, cost and process management of building projects. Within BIM, VISI is indispensable for legally recording and archiving the entire process.During my daily work I consult (semi-) governments such as ProRail (Dutch Rail Authority), Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch Road and Waterworks Authority), Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Breda, TenneT. I also consult businesses like BAM Infra, Heijmans NV, Van Gelder, Sweco and Arcadis.I have been trained in Dutch Building Contracts such as the traditional UAV2012, STABU and integrated UAV-GC, D&C and DBFM. I also have high knowledge of the Belgian A.U.R. 2017 and FIDIC contracts, as well as the British BIM standards PAS1192-2 and PAS1192-3 (BIM Level 2).As a lobbyist I give advice on behalf of the Dutch software industry to the BIM Gateway Foundation, the knowledge platform and central point of contact for open BIM standards in the Netherlands. I have also had the great opportunity of sharing my experiences on BIM and BIM standards with students during several guest lectures at Universities of Applied Sciences.Besides my consultancy work, I am also responsible for developing and executing the strategic company marketing and brand positioning of Bakker&Spees.

De gebruikerscommissie van de open standaard VISI legt en onderhoudt contacten tussen gebruikers t.b.v. uitwisseling van kennis, inventariseren van wensen en behoeften, eventuele nieuwe initiatieven.Taken:- Zorgt voor promotie van de open standaarden;- Organiseert periodieke gebruikersbijeenkomsten (drie tot vier per jaar), waar de prioriteit peiling van issues (openbare consultatie) t.b.v. de release planning onderdeel van uitmaakt;- Stelt het programma voor gebruikersbijeenkomsten op en voert deze uit;- Informeert de Beheercommissie en Expertcommissie inzake de behoeften van de gebruikers van de open BIM standaard;- Is de eigenaar van inhoudelijke verbeteringen van de BIM open-standaard;- Een vertegenwoordiger uit het Gebruikerscommissie heeft als liaison zitting in de Expertcommissie;- Is het portaal van de gebruiker naar de beheerorganisatie (Beheercommissie, Expertcommissie en Productmanager):- Heeft helder wie de gebruikers zijn van de open standaard;- Neemt wensen vanuit de markt mee om te toetsen of dit in de open standaard verwerkt moet worden. Toetst dit ten alle tijden bij de Expertcommissie;- Heeft inhoudelijk kennis van de processen waar de open standaard gebruikt wordt;- Snapt iets van de techniek die wordt toegepast, maar toetst vragen altijd bij de Expertcommissie.

Developing the ISO 29481 - Building Information Models — Information Delivery Manual, part 1, 2 and 3. Project leader of part 2. The IDM methodology is intended to facilitate interoperability between software applications used during all stages of the life cycle of construction works, including briefing, design, documentation, construction, operation and maintenance, and demolition. It promotes digital collaboration between actors in the construction process and provides a basis for accurate, reliable, repeatable and high-quality information exchange.

Laying the foundations for a new principle theme, Marketing Communications at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (HU). The foundation of this new principle theme is a cooperation between the HU and Creative Connection (a collaboration between 15 communication agencies of the middle and northern Randstad region). Main targets during the foundation process are researching the market for needs, opportunities, information, literature and partners.
