• Led the implementation of BP´s new operational model for planning maintenance and modifications (activity planning), making the necessary adjustments to business profitability in Brazil and guiding staff who acted linking other teams, increasing operational efficiency by reducing the occurrence of overlapping activities and simultaneous operations as well as optimizing resources.• Promoted continuous improvement of this model with the development of workflows based on routines created by the team in VBA (visual basic for applications), automating the assembly of short-term schedules and raising the 1-week look-ahead performance indicator (actual versus forecasted) to the 98% level.• Managed the consolidation of data for performance monitoring reports (metrics) to support management and strategy reviews (business plan implementation, budget control, financial results and regulatory compliance).• Improved the performance of the planning team, motivating people in feedback sessions using BP's Effective Performance Conversations (EPC) methodology. Actions to foster improvement included: skills development, reallocation and rightsizing professional staff.• Created a spontaneous communication channel with closest team´s staff, which ensured keeping motivation during the transition of the Polvo field for the new Operator (formerly HRT, currently PetroRio).• Conducted mandatory leadership site audits, liaising with offshore people and generating better relationship between offshore and onshore (office) teams.

• Led international mission to Singapore with representatives of ANP and Statoil to carry out pre-inspection of the fiscal metering system of the Peregrino FPSO, which resulted in the identification of 15 non-compliance items to be solved in due time.• Led international mission to Norway with ANP representatives to visit governmental authorities and health, safety and environmental officials. These two international trips contributed to getting both ANP permits (fiscal metering and operational safety management system) for the Peregrino first oil as planned.• Acted as focal point of contact with ANP, coordinating Statoil teams in a matrix way and solving all ANP demands, subjected to time and quality criteria, as well as centralizing the following actions: i) structuring a workflow for each ANP report; ii) following up ANP´s regulation updates; iii) organizing Statoil participation in ANP events and IBP meetings related to ANP issues. • Frequent offshore trips for site audits and communications activities.

• Delivered technical support to engineering questions on road show in New York with seven investment funds (private equity), which resulted in one of the funds accepting the economic modeling and offering to buy 50% of the business in Brazil.• Acted as focal point for questions on production facilities (topsides) in a presential data room with representatives of Colombian company Ecopetrol and American certification consultancy Ryder Scott and led the reservoir engineering and production data teams, resulting in no showstopper for a business proposal.• Influenced operator PETROBRAS in the decision making process and coordinated the presentation of the joint-operation issues to the Norwegian board, acting as Norse Energy representative in the decision-making committees and technical committees of the five assets in the Camamu-Almada basin.• Negotiated a basic engineering preliminary contract with Excel Engineering (now Ramboll Oil & Gas), preparing scopes of work for the design of two natural gas processing and treating units (stripping plants) onshore, coordinating two engineers of the North-American business unit.• Contributed decisively in local content and minimum exploratory program offers during the assembly of the winning bids for three offshore blocks in the Santos Basin during Brazilian Licensing Round 9 (2007), which mitigated the risk of future ANP fines for failing to comply with local content commitments.

• Developed the report “Reserves-to-production Ratio Forecast Study”, which supported the decision-making process of the Brazilian National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) regarding the approval of Bidding Rounds 7, 8 and 9. Highlight for the development of a technical article detailing the methodology used in the study and that received an Honorable Mention award for best poster session presentation on “Energy Planning & Regulation” of the Rio Oil & Gas 2006 (“Managing Self-sufficiency Using a Standard Decline Type Curve”).• Assessed exemptions, difficulties and gaps in the legislation that were brought by operators regarding well plugging and abandonment (P&A), a main issue in the regulatory framework, negotiating solutions for these cases.• Reduced the appearance of future liabilities, ensuring greater legal certainty, guiding two professionals to create regional shapefiles to check the development area (ring fence) suitability. These shapefiles are still being used in ANP´s ArcGIS and GeoMedia databases.• Assured the quality of the official “Brazilian Annual Reserves Report” (BAR) of 2005, through a series of cross-checks and discussion of popped up issues with the companies in charge of the operation.• Managed Appraisal Plans of New Discoveries, including those that resulted in the Jubarte and Manati fields, and Parque das Conchas (Shell Park) cluster.

• Led offshore operations with strict safety and high efficiency – and supervised unique operations, particularly during the period dealing with stimulation and workover fluids – working as company representative (company man) in rotational assignments on oil production platforms, drilling rigs, and stimulation boats for eight years (non-consecutive). • Influenced PETROBRAS´ regional management team in Macaé, gaining autonomy to test in the field a new methodology to assess the degree of obstruction of subsea pipelines for oil production due to the deposition of paraffin. This procedure was more theoretically robust and presented more meaningful results than the cubature of the submarine flowline. In 2000, I presented a technical work on this technique during the 1st PETROBRAS Flow Assurance Forum (GARESC).• Created and reviewed PETROBRAS´ procedures and standards (SINPEP system) on well stimulation, sand control, and completion and workover fluids.• Participated in the development of the Bicudo, Marlim, Marlim Sul and Espadarte offshore oilfields.
