As a trainee I will have the opportunity of in-house and on the job learning enabled by top-notch leaders in market research at MetrixLab. I will kick off my junior career as part of the Product Innovations and Brand Engagement team. During my committee tenure, we provided students with the key to the industry by collaborating with a mix of high end global fashion brands, the new top notch design talents, forbes under 30 celebrities but also inspiring local brands who want to change industry standards. As a former pre-master student of media studies I was asked to mentor the new year of pre-master students to help them get through the pre-master. I introduced them to the city of Rotterdam, the Erasmus University and made sure they got acquainted with their fellow students. They could reach me for any questions regarding housing, studying or general things about rotterdam. I was also their trust person in case of emergencies or personal issues. Luckily my students all passed the pre-master and have done a great job, making my mentorship very smooth and a nice contribution to their student life. I learned how to motivate people in uncertain times, how to help them get clarity on their own thoughts and doubts, how to clarify complex tasks as part of courses and how to make sure they live a good life while studying hard. I was very happy to do this and would definately mentor people in the future.
