What was a Job shadow in high school became an internship in college that Ruby held through her time at Monterey Peninsula College. Through This internship her main focus was on art collection management and museum studies. Ruby's tasks included; art cataloging, examination, minor conservation, care, handling, installation, documentation, transportation and packaging, storage, cleaning, framing, and working side by side with artists, donors, conservators, art installers, curators, framers, heads of medical departments, and visitors, patients. In the atmosphere of the hospital there is also special care and training in confidentiality and dealing with the constraints of Hospital rules and regulations pertaining to art installation.
