I have an extensive experience in biological and translational research related to novel bio marker discovery for past 6 years in breast cancer. I also have over 3 years of administrative experience working in the capacity of Assistant Professor (Research track), at the University of Chicago.I have over 6 years of experience in high throughput cellular screening and using liquid handling systems and established the cellular screening core facility at the University of Chicago. Assisted by this platform and using a whole genome siRNA library, I have identified key transcriptional factors regulating estrogen mediated cell proliferation in breast cancer.I also have a wide range of technical expertise in cutting edge molecular and cellular biology, tissue culture (primary cells and cell lines), Protein purification, expression (bacterial and mammalian; DHFR/MTX system in CHO cells), assay development, flow cytometry and Next Gen Seq.As mentioned before, my recent position at the University of Chicago, I supervised technicians and undergrads for the human breast cancer project. This job involves managing team members, grant writing and submission, project updates, establishing collaborations and presenting work in national and international meetings.
