As the Learning Officer at Washington Wetland Centre I am responsible for the creation and delivery of a wide range of activities and workshops, around environmental education and wetland protection. Audiences can vary from primary school groups and sixth-form/university students to staff away-days and local societies and charities. Strong organisational and communicative skills are key to coordinating staff and volunteers and large audiences across a remote and varied outdoor site.
