As an apprentice, I work full-time hours at Pfizer. This is either completed on-site at Discovery Park or working remotely. My job role is a quality practitioner apprentice, working in the Quality Investigations, Complaints and Inspections team that is part of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Operations Quality (PSOQ) organisation.

Through CSR Scientific Training I am enrolled on the level 4 quality practitioner course. I participate on this course every Thursday, on a part-time basis. So whilst I am employed to work full-time hours at Pfizer, I am allowed to use roughly 20% of my working hours for my apprenticeship studies. As for any apprenticeship, I must complete my OTJ hours to transition to EPA, the project of my course that will determine my overall grade. My OTJ hours are also completed on a part-time basis, one day out of the working week. On Thursdays, I will attend monthly group sessions with my tutor to cover the topics of my course. After this I will be set assignments to complete, as this will be how I create and gather evidence for the required KSBs of my course. I must achieve all of the required KSBs for my course before I can transition to EPA. On top of the assignments, I also complete practice professional discussions for my EPA.

I am employed by Cogent Skills to work as an apprentice at Pfizer. Cogent Skills also enrolled me onto the level 4 quality practitioner course with CSR Scientific Training.

At this pharmacy I worked part-time hours each week as a pharmacy dispensing assistant. My typical working week would be 11:30-18:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I would work at the front counter storing, organising and handling prescriptions. When medication deliveries arrived I would have the responsibility to unbox and store away all of the items. I had the opportunity to learn how to create prescriptions whilst working here, and did this many times.
