During this role I needed to display strong leadership skills to lead and motivate groups of agency staff through the running of a 5-star Claridges event. These high profile events included weddings, charity events, corporate functions and cocktail parties with guest numbers ranging up to 800 peopleOther responsibilities included daily briefing of teams, training new employees on the job providing knowledge of specific standards and policies and supervising and assisting the set up and pack down of all events

This was a summer casual role working at various large scale festivals and events acrossLondon. During this role I worked within a team of 5 supervisors to ensure the smoothrunning of bar operations. The bar staff team below us usually consisted of up to 80 staffOther responsibilities included maintaining and controlling bar stock, daily briefing of teams, training staff and delegating procedures and daily cash up and float control

Working closely with the director of the business to grow and maintain profitability of the business as well as ensuring smooth daily running of the business. I took on this role to complete my co-operative education placement during my last semester of my AUT Bachelors degree Key responsibilities:- Sourcing and coordinating new and previous events - Managing all aspects of large events prior to the event and onsite, along side the director - Recruiting and training new staff- Staff management and coordination- Overseeing the business finance through Xero - Managing the profitability of markets and events- Seeing what improvements can be made in order to maximise customer satisfaction- Weekly reports to the director and to the master franchisee- All administrative duties of the business as well as day to day running of the business
