Ruby White serves as the founder and owner of Jazzy Greens, LLC. The mission of Jazzy Greens is to promote urban food production and increase opportunities for organic food supply and distribution in low income communities. Through Jazzy Greens, Ruby has worked as a community food educator and urban garden project director for the past 10 years. Her dedication to farm-to-school programs has helped to raise approximately $100,000 in grant funds as well as receive 1st place awards in both youth gardening and community service for past food justice-based projects. • Managed operations and staffing for the produce department within the oldest cooperative grocery store still open within the state of Ohio.• Ensured quality and freshness of all produce, suggested changes to inventory and pricing, and purchased supplies when needed.• Partnered with well-known regional organic suppliers, including Indianapolis Fruit, as well as five different local farms.

• Coordinates resources and services in the USDA Summer Food Program, and works in collaboration with community partners at local food pantries, local food markets, and urban food hubs.• Develops and implements a daily breakfast, lunch, and snack menu that aligns with national dietary guidelines, incorporates USDA food commodities and locally grown foods, and appeals to children's tastes and food preferences. • Designs a nutrition curriculum that incorporates child nutrition principles, gardening, and STEM learning.Accomplishment:• Successfully served over 5,000 (from scratch) vegan meals to the University District community.

Through the Creative Explorers program I provide curriculum development and implementation for topics in STEM for students in Preschool and Kindergarten through Grade 4. Focus areas include robotics, gardening, nutrition, and academic activities that support the Ohio Academic Content Standards for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Provided direct instruction and facilitated laboratory activities for biology, earth science and physical science e-courses. Designed and facilitated an OGT Science Boot Camp program. Accomplishment: Developed and implemented a lesson plan for small classroom gardens, wrote and applied for a grant to expand the school garden program.

Taught curriculum from the `Food Is Elementary' vegetarian program to students, ages 3-7. Facilitated nutritional cooking demonstrations with young adult parents, ages 16-19. Accomplishments: Successfully facilitated lessons to acquaint children with the different foods in the USDA Food Pyramid, highlighting the fundamentals of preparing plant-based food from around the world, including recipes from

Developed specialized, arts-integrative curriculum for topics in General Science, Physical Science with Earth science, and Biology that met National and State educational standards. Provided scientific instruction for students, grades 6-12. Provided tutoring for the Science Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).

Serviced approximately 65 students within the City of Columbus to provide environmental education after school programming. Created lab experiments and activities relative to lessons in agriculture, wildlife, pollution, conservation, and environmental careers. Coordinated field trips and guest speakers for each topic covered within the KEEP curriculum. Accomplishment: Lead the largest school collectives for the entire KEEP program.

Partnered with OEI's Environmental Justice Coordinator in providing support for the customization of OEI's Environmental Justice Training module, and updating of OEI's FY04-05 EJ Action Plan. Collaborated with OEI's Tribal Coordinator in providing support for the revision of OEI's Tribal Strategy. Accomplishments: Developed three OEI Environmental Justice Training Curriculum components for classroom use. Coordinated the National OEI Summer Intern Class of 2005 Welcome and Farwell Events. Provided collaborative support in organizing four Project Plans for OEI's involvement in the following National activities: 1) the organization of course content, scheduling, and logistics for the OEI Environmental Justice Training Course, 2) the revision of the OEI Tribal Strategy, and 3) OEI's participation in the 21st Annual National Environmental Monitoring Conference.

Modified training modules concerning the Water Quality Standards Submittal and Approval Processes for the Water Quality Standards Academy. Participated in the revising, development, and construction of guidelines for Aquatic Life Criteria. Researched topics concerning Environmental Justice Initiatives for EPA's Office of Science and Technology ­ Water Quality Standards Branch. Accomplishments: Updated the Water Quality Standards Academy training curriculum used by National, State, Tribal, and Community level Officials in developing and meeting water quality criteria and standards. Identified Environmental Justice topics and initiatives for EPA's Office of Science and Technology ­ Water Quality Standards Branch relative to the Office of Water's Environmental Justice Action Plan.

Located park project sites independently, and identified and targeted invasive plant species to be surveyed, mapped, and treated with specialized herbicides. Collected information on targeted species to be entered into the APCAM (Alien Plant Control & Monitoring) database. Presented educational outreach programs through demonstration plots, displays, field tours, meetings, in- house training, and web-site development. Accomplishments: Pursued study for Licensed Certifications included: Herbicide Licensing, Chainsaw Licensing, and Fire Ecology Licensing within the states of Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia. Initiated production of a Training Manual and Program for incoming SCA Interns and Crew Members of the Exotic Plant Management Team for the Center for Urban Ecology.

Assisted a PhD Candidate with a fish population study on Virginian Black Sea Bass. Job duties included fish species analysis, dissection of samples and maintaining database applications. Accomplishment: The completed Black Sea Bass study provided commercial fisheries and its legislator's key information on major demographics, such as fecundity and age, resulting in an analysis on the present and future condition of the Black Sea Bass population in the Greater Hampton Roads Area.
