There are many aspects of building a home and important details that happen prior to even beginning to break ground on your new home.2. Permit offices and inspections are slower than usual with Covid-19 issues. 3. Pre-approval from your lender is more complicated. You and the builder need to figure out what kind of construction loan you will be using. 4. Finding the right lot and careful planning are needed to build your dream home. 5. Once the foundation is laid out, ensuring the workers build your beautiful home and stay on track is key. 6. During different stages in the building process, there will be various inspections.7. The construction crew is human which means a lot could go wrong, even with a quality builder. 8. Staying on budget as you bid on appliances, fixtures, carpet, tile, marble, granite etc. If you go beyond your budget, you are expected to pay for the upgrades at the time you order them.9. Weather is always a factor, and can cause unexpected delays.10. The last two weeks prior to home completion the home looks atrocious.....do not judge until time for your blue tape walk through.
