Responsible for constituent services and stakeholder relations in Nevada's 4th Congressional District. Areas of responsibility are healthcare, seniors, women's rights, nutrition/food insecurity, criminal justice reform and prison policy, housing and homelessness, faith-based community.

Responsibilities included;• Managing a team of 5 full-time and 2 part-time outreach advocates• Managing the Three Square's call center• Managing the department budget• Managing Three Square’s relationship with the State of Nevada Division of Welfare & Supportive Services (DWSS) to ensure compliance with tracking, reporting and other requirements• Managing SNAP-related government grants

Work under the auspices of the Corporation for National Community Service, Hunger Free America, and the Anti-Hunger Opportunity Corps, my service site is the Three Square Food Bank. Responsibilities during my year of service include working with the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services as well as community partners to explore, pilot and execute ways in which Three Square can become a significant contributor to the state’s SNAP Employment & Training Program.

Assist callers with requests for social services, including:• Completing applications for SNAP (food stamps) then entering the data to submit the applications online on behalf of clients• Providing referrals to local pantries for callers in need of food assistance• Referring clients to agencies that provide assistance with energy bills• Providing referrals to other agencies as needed• Providing general office support (copying, collating, forwarding Spanish-language calls, etc.) to Three Square field advocates• Making follow-up calls to clients to ensure that their SNAP applications are moving through the system

Responsible for all employee communications at Caesars Palace and Rio resorts. Duties included:• Writing content and designing collateral for all employee communications, including flyers, posters and emails.• Maintaining and updating the back-of-house employee information slideshows.• Providing communications and logistical support for all employee events, including contests, benefit briefings, and quarterly town hall meetings.• Providing communications support for property general managers by writing memos, weekly “from the desk of . . .” updates and other communications as needed.• Writing scripts for “Total Vegas TV,” Caesars Entertainment’s weekly in-house news broadcast.• Compiling all content, writing and editing the CET Insider, a twice-weekly newsletter distributed to the company’s 10,000 Las Vegas employees.• Updating the 100-page 8-Stop Guide, a handbook distributed quarterly to help employees assist guests with up-to-date information on the company’s 10 Las Vegas properties.• Working with the company’s Design Studio and print shops to ensure design and print jobs were produced in a timely fashion..
