I was referred to this position by my mentor at a previous company to develop and maintain legacy client-side code base (Dojo & jQuery) and new version of the product (NodeJS, React, GraphQL).I also developed of a system to extract and annotate events from medium-sized CouchDB databases (>20 million documents) to generate KPI reports and dashboards for Product, Marketing, and Finance teams.

Having previously worked with the CTO of the company on the Hacking Health project, I was hired to:- Research and prototype solutions for working with sensitive medical data in an offline-first browser-based environment (client-side data encryption).- Optimize the company's website to use automatic asset bundling and management using node, grunt, and a variety of plugins.This position was a short-term, full-time, remote contract.

- Developed features and interfaces for non-technical team members to update specific parts of the Hacking Health website.- Developed an internationalisation/localisation strategy for translating website content into French and English.

- Developed a JSON schema that described learning material (lessons and assignments with multi-media content) providing a common structure for instructors and other developers to develop new content. The learning material was stored in a NoSQL document database (CouchDB).- Developed a javascript front-end library to consume said schema and generate interactive components and user interfaces using events (PubSub [0]) and state management. The library borrowed a lot of concepts from Backbone and Ember but was much more limited in scope.- Designed and developed the UI components for lessons, activities, and assignments.[0] https://github.com/rudasn/pubsub.js
