The Vehicle Reconditioning Manager is responsible for the effective management of the vehicle reconditioning services provided to all of the Stevenson Automotive Group dealerships, working in a coordinated effort with the applicable Sales and Service Department Managers. The position is also responsible for meeting the corporate reconditioning standards and performance expectations in an effort to protect the dealership from marketing unsafe vehicles and in minimizing post-sale policy adjustments for adherence to departmental budgets and policies and for maintaining good employee and vendor relationships. This position plans, directs, and is personally involved in all vehicle reconditioning activities of the used car departments of each dealership including but not limited to the following; ensuring appropriate reconditioning procedures and operating practices are documented and in use; coordinating the scheduling of all used vehicle reconditioning activities ensuring that the reconditioning services being provided meet all safety, quality, and timely delivery expectations and that effective wholesale vs retail decision-making is occurring.
