Responsible for the planning and negotiation of all types of contracts involving substantial procurements for NAVAIR Air Combat Electronics divison. Responsible for all aspects of planning for the programs assigned. I negotiate non commercial and commercial actions to determine favorable terms that meetmission specifications. Maintain a full range of contracting procedures and methods including formal advertising, negotiation, fixed-price, cost contracting, and use of special provisions and incentives to plan and carry out contracting assignments. Knowledge of the industry which manufactures assigned commodities to determine sources of supply and to analyze the effects on NAVAIR requirements of industrial developments, price trends, economic factors, transportation costs, and availability of storage facilities.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area

Contract Administrator with responsibility for General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Large Caliber (GD-OTS) ammunition business unit. Used FAR policies and procedures to plan and carry out a full range of contract administration functions relating to BOAs, IDIQs, demilitarization, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and other contracts such as cost-plus-fixed-fee, time and materials and firm fixed-price. Knowledgeable of FAR and DFAR requirements for small business programs.

As a non-paid intern, I was directly under the contract supervisor, where I was able to hone in my skills with project management and finding solutions to contract procurement issues. During my internship I was able to provided assistance to evaluation committee on technical, procurement and procedural matters throughout the procurement process. I was able to quick grasp and maintain the process of procurement to assure that the services were delivered at the negotiated price, on schedule, complied with the contract and meet the quality standards of the customer and Seminole County.
