I am a student in my fifth year of Environmental Management majoring in Environment and Natural Resource Management. I have been with the Brunswickan, having spent a majority of my time in university as a professional writer. Furthermore, have been assigned Features Editor for two consecutive years and later promoted to Editor in Chief. I enjoy field and lab work, having worked at natural resources as a lab and field technician assistant throughout the beginning of my university experience in 2020.My first summer with Natural Resources focused on complete vegetative site assessments and silvicultural measurements toward classifying fire risk on base gagetown, as well as during the later half of summer our crew set to sample soil toward understanding the carbon storage on Base Gagetown. Following my first year, my second year composed of silvicultural measurements on WS seedlings within Northern New Brunswick. Being both on Public and Private land, the study encompassed 72 replicate blocks. Aimed at recommending the most effective Stock Type and Weed management practices within operational contexts, my time with the SwaG project concluded with NFI certification and soil sampling within the Acadia research Forest to understand carbon sequestration. Now, being in my 5th year - with the collaboration of The Canadian Wood Fibre Centre and Natural Resources - I have been working toward preparing for my Masters with the Univerisity of Laval.
