This is a two year apprenticeship I am currently completing at a local primary school. My role at the school is to plan, lead/support and review PE lessons, lead lunchtime activities and aid children with the progression of their fine/gross motor skills. I liaise with staff members, parents and all the children in the school. A challenge I enjoy is adapting activites to support the pupil's individual needs; whether they are SEND or gifted and talented. I often observe more experienced members of staff during both PE lessons and in the classroom in order to improve my communication and coaching skills with the children so that they reach their full potential.

During this role as a play worker I led children's birthday parties, ensured the play area was safe for both adults and children and liased between staff, parents and children. I worked with children from the age of 2-14 and adapted their experience to suit their age group and interests. Also in this role is was promoted to Senior Play Worker - this role include preparing staff for their shift and supporting them where needed. This also included finding resolutions to problems others may have been facing.
