About Ruoyu Li
I'm incredibly passionate about three things:The first is to understand state-of-art machine learning models. I deeply care about how computers and machines can assist humans with complex tasks, or even complete tasks all by itself. I hope to build my own model that can improve performance of computers,The second is to communicate with different people in different area. I believe this is the best way to widen my vision. With a wide vision, I strive to discover the capability of computer in different area such as Recommending System, electricity and credit risk.The third is personal development. Every day I strive to learn something new and improve my skills. Recently, I'm learning CSS, JavaScript, HTML5 and Node.js.I'm grateful to spend everyday working with exceptional people to solve different problems. I learn a lot not only from the process of solving problems but also from people around me!

• Learned the ALS (Alternating Least Squares) and eALS (element-wise ALS) for online recommender system.• Applied the CPU and GPU parallel programming to the eALS by C++, CUDA and OpenMP.• Found other tools that do parallel programming on ALS and compare the outcomes of them with that of ours.• Helped solved the major challenge that the memory needed exceeds the shared memory of GPU• Applied the algorithm that can rearrange the input based on the data density.• Change the eALS algorithm to fit the tile by tile computing instead of the row by row computing since we need to compute certain part of the input matrix.

• Helped built a system for the Financial Products and the users of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank.• Imported data from excel to PLSQL table. Adjusted the data contained in PLSQL.
