Rupert is an experienced senior executive with a strong affinity to SME, farming, rural, membership, charity, and not-for-profit organisations. He uses his experience as an active farmer to support Somerset farmers through the Agricultural Transition. He has a wealth of event management experience from running the largest events venue in Somerset; is particularly astute in the political arena, working with volunteers, and building effective teams. He has an established track record of meeting management and Chairing skills and is an accomplished event host, speaker and presenter. Rupert is also the coordinator of Farmerados, a social movement in Somerset that provides pop-up Farmhouse Kitchens to provide a point of comfort and chatter for farmers, with the aim of preventing poor mental health in the sector.Rupert is a Board member of the Somerset Activity Sports Partnership and the Somerset Business Agency CIC and a volunteer mentor for PROMISE Works. He is active in his own community being Chairman of both Long Sutton parish Council and Long Sutton Cricket Club.Rupert has turned a lock-down hobby into a small business under The Rupair Shop brand that refurbished Victorian garden furniture and other timber garden antiquities.
