I am a PhD candidate at James Cook University (Townsville) studying sea turtle conservation in Southeast Asia. Specifically, I am looking at assigning management areas to linkages between nesting and foraging sites, classifying conservation priorities, and demarcating Important Marine Turtle Areas (IMTAs) that are critical for their conservation. IMTAs will then be put through stakeholder consultations to ensure socioeconomic and conservation goals can be met with as few impacts as possible.
