I lead a geographically dispersed team of engineers and technical officers that is responsible for distribution network analysis and the development and implementation of distribution augmentation projects, including non-network alternatives for all asset classes, to manage network requirements such as demand, utilisation, condition, voltage regulation, reliability and power quality performance. The role is responsible for the development of the distribution network including assessment of negotiated distribution customer connections with impacts on the shared network. The role is also responsible for providing engineering support to other teams where required and provides subject matter expertise into a range of business areas. In addition to the above I also lead the planning, estimating, and approval of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within Energy Queensland.

Asset Management and Network Planning Accountabilities for Energy Queensland's Southern Region (Geographically approximately half the State of Queensland)Responsible for leading a geographically dispersed workforce that ensures the ongoing safe operation of Energy Queensland (EQL) substation and high voltage assets by understanding and managing local network risks, developing and approving associated programs of work, and by providing key Distribution, Customer and Stakeholder management.
