Over thirty five years of Construction Management relating to Arctic Construction, contracting, plant operations and maintenance enhanced by managerial and hands-on experience in the capacity of both owner and contractor. Special skills include:• Multi-disciplinary project management with considerable experience in the Alaskan Arctic, Canadian Artic and Russian Far East. • Planning, scheduling and management of engineering and construction activities in the arctic and other remote locations.• Bid evaluation, contractor selection, contract negotiation, dispute resolution, legal proceedings and arbitration hearings.• Analysis, troubleshooting and turn-around of distressed projects.• Management of technical consultants and engineering/construction specialists.• Selection and training of operations and maintenance personnel.• Oversight of module fabrication, transportation logistics and field installation.• Selection of heavy equipment and procurement of equipment and supplies.

Duties included selective demolition tasks and the rebuild of the Pacific Spaceport Complex launch facilities on Kodiak Island, AK. Day to day responsibility for the work performed on multiple projects at various facilities on the launch site by the onsite contractors. Ensured all phases of the project met cost, schedule, regulatory, safety, quality, and operational requirements. Reported directly to the recovery Program Manager (PM).Due to the critical schedule of this project, it was important to build a close working relationship with the selected General Contractor (GC) and his subcontractors.

Provide and coordinate a team of qualified design and material support personnel to expeditiously solve problems that arise and ensure that they are passed to the Field Support team for resolution. Identify and retain the services of additional Worley Parsons staff and other resources needed to fulfill the required roles for support services. Direct engineering and materials support activities as deemed necessary to support the construction efforts, provided they are not in conflict with the approved project scope and design. Provide constructability and Fit-For-Purpose Designs.

Responsible for site management and interfacing between all company departments and contractors performing work on the Hope Bay Project. Interface with engineering companies on constructability and Fit-For-Purpose Designs. Responsible for logistics and oversight of field engineering and development of infrastructure to include ice runways for large aircraft. Ice roads for access to drill sites and remote camps. Managed fuel offloading activities from the aerial transport of diesel fuel to the site to include transporting fuel from the ice runway to the site storage tanks.
