In the years of working at Belvedere Care Center, I obtained a wide range of nursing skills while developing critical thinking and leadership skills. Belvedere is comprised of long term and acute care for a geriatric population. I typically work as a charge nurse in a facility of 140 beds. In addition to providing quality care for the clients, I have been in a leadership roles directing and helping the License Practical Nurses and Care Aides. I am fortunate to experience being a charge nurse, assessing and providing prompt care in complex situations. I also serve as the staff scheduler and receptionist during non-business hours.My duties include providing nursing care to clients such as administration of medications, head to toe assessment, wound care (acute and palliative), MDS-RAI assessments, and creating specific careplans. I have worked with foley catheters, supra-pubic catheters, colostomy and ileostomy care, central line, IV catheters, G-tube care, and oxygen concentrators for constant oxygenation for certain clients
