• Manage Ky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center (KSCIRC) daily operations including safety compliance, maintenance, training.• Manage KSCIRC Neuroscience Cores daily operations. This includes project development and billing.• Continue to manage daily laboratory operations• Expand core facility capabilities with the development of novel cell lines & viral constructs for experimental research.

• Manage daily laboratory operations including budgets, training, and safety compliance for a 10 person NIH funded laboratory. Maintain and update departmental website. Train all users of cell culture facility in proper biosafety protocols and procedures. • Expanded capabilities of KSCIRC Mol. Biology & Cell Culture core facility with the addition of digital gel imaging and analysis capability and inverted microscopy digital imaging. • Provide viral constructs in a timely manner for research experiments. Prepare cells as needed for experiments. Additional task include western blotting, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry. Assist in project development.

• Manage KSCIRC Mol. Biology & Cell Culture core facility. • Advise & assist in development of new research projects for internal and external collaborators.• Complete molecular biology & cell culture experiments in a timely manner.• Analyze experimental data and compile results that were published in scientific journals.
