Fighting climate change and injustice is the basis for everything I do.⁠ The consequences of the climate crisis are already evident. It is impossible to find an affordable home and the gap between rich and poor is widening. These are the issues GroenLinks aims to tackle. If we don't, the planet will get increasingly warmer and our society increasingly poorer. GroenLinks is the only party that connects both green and left-wing politics. We combine idealism with decisiveness: we are successfully governing Eindhoven as the largest progressive party comprising.As a software engineer and former board member of EHVXL I think have a good perspective on how to transform Eindhoven into a lively city with sustainability in mind. Affordable housing, green mobility, and sustainable digital transformation are three key points that I would like to address in the coming four years.⁠⁠Is there anything you would like to see different in Eindhoven? During my master's I was asked to work as a teaching assistant (TA) for a bachelor's course in Computer Graphics. My responsibilities included helping students with questions regarding homework exercises and grading their work.

For my graduation project I successfully extended Sioux' in-house developed model-driven development tool. My contribution focused on automatically verifying state machines with hardware interlocks using the formal specification language and toolset called mCRL2. Additionally, I proposed specifying interlocks using a subset of natural language called SBVR and implemented this a proof of concept.

My company specialized in writing custom software for customers. Some of the projects I have taken on were: maintaining a website and providing on-site support for a local store; writing custom software for converting label print formats; and designing a fillable form for the Dutch general practice society NHG.

In the Clinical Platforms team of Philips I worked on adapting an existing algorithm that is used to convert 2D greyscale images coming from medical scanners to 3D volumes. The focus of my study was on developing an efficient method to distribute the ray casting algorithm over a cluster of heterogeneous accelerators. My contribution was part of the final demonstration application used to show the capabilities of the European Union subsidised MANGO project.

During my time in Delft I wrote and maintained webpage parsers in CoffeeScript with Node.js for the website 1dagskoopjes.nl, a website that collects and lists the best daily deals for their customers. Next to that, I developed a proof of concept Windows 8 Modern-UI application.
