Responsible for the strategic planning of Lloyds Banking Group internal news and the overall editorial plan. Management and leadership of an editorial team of four, plus communications measurement and optimisation.

Responsible for supporting the newly established Retail division, creating a narrative to help colleagues understand the part Retail plays in the overall strategy. I was a trusted adviser to the SLT, influencing business decisions and supporting the development of divisional communication strategies.

Responsible for providing integrated communications both across the business and through the external media for the Halifax brand. Included proactive and reactive media relations support.

Provided channel expertise in the delivery of savings projects and programmes to meet both business needs and the needs of colleagues and customers. Accountable for developing colleague capability to support changes through effective training and communications.

Responsible for the strategic planning, writing and delivery of communications spanning all three core brands for the community bank audience.

Responsibility for the Marketing and Communications strategy plan with a £multi-million budget, supporting the UK's No.1 Savings Provider. Leading and managing part of the team to optimise the return from our expenditure, achieve cost saving targets and ensure the plans are aligned to the strategic objectives of the business.

Worked on a number of category 1 projects (with multi-million pound budgets) and gained excellent project experience during my time in this role, working on complex projects with demanding implementation timescales.

Joined the branch management training scheme in September 2000, designed to fast track graduates to branch manager positions within two years. I was given Whitchurch branch to run in April 2002. In November 2002 I was promoted to manage a larger branch in Oswestry. I received excellent training including: Sales skills, customer service standards, self-motivation and being able to motivate a team, leadership skills and risk management.
