I have been involved in education since 1995 and cannot imagine working in any other career field. Most of my experience has been with inner-city Dropout Prevention and Recovery (DOPR) high schools. I am experienced in teaching, coaching teachers, coordinating State and District testing, writing policies and procedures, writing and reviewing Special Education documents, creating curriculum, and being an assistant principal. I am proficient in MS Office and Google products as well as ProgressBook and numerous curriculum, testing, and educational online programs. I honestly believe every student can learn if given the proper motivation and learning environment that meets the student's needs. There is no feeling like seeing students overcome obstacles and gain confidence in their abilities. I am honored and proud to be able to have a career in education.
