I have been working in the field of Business Psychology and HR since the start of my career in 1991. In 1998, I started working with Nicholson McBride as a Business Psychologist before becoming a Director and then laterlly taking on MD responsibilities. In 2006, I moved onto an Associate contract with the business and continue to work with Nicholson McBride Fisher today. At that time, I became the Founder / Director of Ruth Colling Consulting Ltd, where my focus continues to be as an executive and team coach, and leadership facilitator, with clients across all sectors. Although all my assignments are unique to the individuals and organisations with whom I work, the common feature is that I help to enable individuals and teams to fulfill their potential in the context of enhancing their organisation’s performance. I am also a Mental Health First Aid instructor meaning that I can accredit others to become Mental Health First Aiders.My executive coaching assignments have largely revolved around the challenges facing managing directors, directors, partners, senior managers and functional experts. Coaching has focused on areas such as, preparing for promotion opportunities, and then excelling in the new role, developing leadership skills and getting the best from the team, improving confidence, managing stress, enhancing impact and personal effectiveness and dealing with specific interpersonal challenges. I have also coached many teams to clarify their vision and purpose, enhance their effectiveness and to develop more effective working relationships with each other and with their key stakeholders. My coaching style is exploratory, yet goal focused; empathic, yet challenging.
