We are working with over 100 GM schools and colleges to to supports young people's wellbeing through a combination of whole-school approaches and targeted interventions.

- My research in the lab of Professor Benhur Lee focused on the paramyxovirus family, which includes several viruses of global health concern including Measles, Mumps, and the emergent, highly lethal, Nipah and Hendra.
- Funded by a highly competitive EMBO Long-term Fellowship (ATLF 628-2015)
- Presented at several international conferences, including 2018 Negative Strand Viruses meeting (poster presentation prize winner) and American Society for Virology Meeting 2018 (abstract selected for travel grant)
- Co-authored a review article and book chapter, and research resulted in a patent application and contributions to several manuscripts (in preparation)

Volunteer Laboratory Technician In Ebola Diagnosic Lab
- Volunteer laboratory worker with International Medical Corps (IMC) running diagnostic lab tests for malaria and Ebola virus in the PHE lab at the Makeni Ebola Treatment Centre during the 2014/2015 West African Ebola.
- Responsible for receiving, processing, and testing samples from treatment center patients and community surveillance, database entry and result reporting (6 week deployment, July - August 2015)
- Attended frequent District Ebola Response Committee (DERC) meetings for the Bombali and Tonkolili districts to report summary lab results from the Makeni center
- Helped train lab staff from a local hospital to help build capacity within Sierra Leone to be able to continue long term Ebola surveillance and outbreak response programs
- Pre-deployment week-long intensive training programme at PHE Porton Down (UK) (May 2015)
